In the winter, wild manatees use the springs as a warm-water sanctuary. The park’s natural freshwater spring bowl remains a constant 72-degree temperature year-round.
Live Shark Cam from Monterey Bay Aquarium in Monterey CA. Sevengill sharks, leopard sharks, spiny dogfish and the elusive Pacific angel shark all dwell in the Monterey Bay Habitats exhibit—like they do just beyond our walls in the cold waters of the bay. Designed with sharks in mind, this exhibit's 90-foot-long hourglass shape gives our big sharks plenty of room to glide and turn.

Sea Otter Live Cam Vancouver Aquarium (www.vanaqua.org) Vancouver British Columbia Canada. All the sea otters living at the Vancouver Aquarium were rescued as orphaned pups and been deemed non-releasable by Canadian and U.S. government agencies because they were all too young at rescue to have the necessary life skills to survive on their own in the wild. Northern Sea Otters are known for their luxuriously thick fur and have the densest fur of any mammal, boasting up to a million hairs per square inch! Thanks to habitat protection and pollution reduction initiatives, their population, once severely threatened by extensive hunting, is gradually rebounding.
Live Jelly Cam at Monterey Bay Aquarium. Jellyfish tentacles are covered in stinging cells used for hunting. When their tentacles touch tiny drifting prey, the stinging cells paralyze it and stick tight. The prey is moved to the mouth-arms and then to the mouth, where it's digested. Yum!
