This live cam is located in the Treman Bird Feeding Garden at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology in Ithaca, New York. Perched on the edge of both Sapsucker Woods and its 10-acre pond, these feeders attract both forest species like chickadees and woodpeckers as well as some species that prefer open environments near water like Red-winged Blackbirds.

The Panama Hummingbird Cam at Canopy Tower is located about 35 miles north of Panama City, Panama on the banks of the Panama Canal nestled in a tropical rainforest in Soberanía National Park. The Canopy Tower is a unique lodge dedicated to birding and wildlife watching. The tower was originally constructed as a radar station in 1965 by the US Military and was left abandoned by the mid-1990's. In 1999, the tower was converted into a premier birding lodge by Canopy Family founder Raul Arias de Para. An observation deck circles around the giant geodesic ball that still sits on top of the Tower and birders come from all over the world to enjoy the spectacular views from the top over the vast rainforest canopy. The live cam is a collaboration between the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, the Canopy Family, and explore.org.

The cam is located in a residential neighborhood, and this northern site is an excellent location to see winter finches like redpolls and grosbeaks as well as two species of Jays and even Ruffed Grouse! The feeders sit in the middle of a large backyard with a large birch tree that the birds love, as well as a mixed stand of conifers and several fruit and berry producing shrubs. There’s a small swamp just beyond the backyard as well as larger stands of woods and a small lake.
